Love this place! Love coming here anytime I visit Coupeville. It’s at the end of the Wharf so make sure you check it out when you want down. Their coffee is great! They really make sure to dial in their espresso so it comes out smooth and delicious. My group was a huge fan of the handpies. Honestly they were so good and such a good size! Good vibes, and good acknowledgment of the indigenous people’s! Michelle is so sweet!

We came two days in a row for espresso and their breakfast hand pies and both were incredible! The coffee is roasted on site and the hand pies are made by hand (you can taste it!!). I would highly recommend to anyone who visits Coupeville. The coffee house also gives a comprehensive history of the wharf and surrounding Coupeville area - and the barista was incredibly knowledgeable and kind.

Menu keeps changing. Had a hand pie but it was so small I get to get another one. They were very tasty. Great coffee. At the end of the pier.

Owner -- Michelle -- was very kind, she was very helpful and really wanted to make sure our drinks were perfect for us!! As apologetic as she was for the wait, it wasn't that bad -- maybe 10 minutes for our two drinks and our three bagels. The shop had an amazing atmosphere, with lots of historical photos from the area and facts about the Native tribes in the area and important historical people on the napkin dispensers. The menu invites people to sit down and talk about anything that confuses them or that they disagree with, which is an amazing touch in my opinion. I also was a fan of the drink names that were on the menu (seemingly rotating weekly), which poked at colonization of the area. One quote that stood out to me on the menu sign was how the land may have been colonized, but the water never will. The location of the store was also very cool! Situated on a pier/wharf, the building also had a touristy store and in the sort of "foyer" area had different skeletons of marine animals hanging off the ceiling. If I'm ever back in the Coupeville area again, I will definitely come back here!

Wonderful coffee place with great vibes and great intentions. There were a few boards just inside the entrance with explanations of the Land Back movement and what it means to the people who run Beaver Tales. It was honest and unapologetic. There were a number of Land Back inspired food and drink options, and I got the Burn It Down drink, and I loved it. I was able to speak with one of the people who runs the shop, and she was very knowledgeable and willing to speak about the Land Back movement and the struggles and goals of local indigenous people. I try to support local and indigenous owned businesses, so next time I'm in the area I will definitely be back.

Fantastic coffee, and history! Indigenous owned, this coffee shop is a wonderful place to learn about the local people and give back to their community, not to mention enjoy a delicious beverage like "Colonizers Tears," a salted caramel mocha with smoked sea salt on top. Every napkin holder tells you about a prominent indigenous person from that area. You are surrounded by art from local artists as well. A wonderful place to add to you stops in Coupeville.

Really enjoyed the service as well as the coffee. Ordered a mocha and London fog. Both were made exceptionally well - the mocha was not too sweet with the chocolate integrated throughout the beverage. The London fog had a hint of lavender for an interesting floral finish. The service was great - the person at the front was so friendly and gave some great tips on where to source tea for home. There is a outdoor as well as indoor dining, lots of interesting local artists featured on the walls, history, and even a yarn corner for anyone hankering for a quick crochet or knit while you wait.
